Designs for Fun
These are just things I have done for fun.
Just for fun
Giving quests to strangers at PAX East
'Oh cool. Your a questgiver.'
! Staff because its the univearsal symbol for starting a quest.
'Ha. Neat! What's my quest?'
The staff is 7 ft tall so people can find me easily.
'Wait. You actually have quests?! No way that's so cool!'
Quests were printed onto extra thick business cards.
"What kind of quest do you want?"
There were 5 different kinds of quests: answer this riddle, take a selfie with a character I name, attend a panel, challenge a stranger to a game and tell me who won.
"Find me again when you have completed your quest to claim your reward."
Play it forward: The end of every quest was to invite another stranger to play.
'I finally found you! I've been looking for you. I completed your quest. What's my reward?'
Gold chocolate coins, a wizard hat, and leather pouches because every quest needs a reward.
'Wow. You did this just for fun?! This was my favorite thing about PAX!'
Young and old, I handed out all 200 quests and rewarded all 6 lbs of chocolate gold coins for those who completed my quests.
