Designs for Fun: Egg Hunts

Friends Egg Hunt

I organized a large-scale egg hunt with ~15 friends in Boston, hiding 600 eggs worth different point values and one golden egg. Friends competed in teams to find as many as possible within 30 minutes. I hid the highest-value eggs in extremely difficult locations using creative methods like tape. Winners received chocolate pretzels from my hometown chocolatier. Afterward, we celebrated with a potluck brunch.

Kids Egg Hunt

Later, I organized another hunt for ~75 kids in my apartment complex in Foster City. I hid ~1,000 eggs with candy and points inside. To ensure fairness, younger children received a 10-minute head start. I personally covered all costs for eggs and prizes, simply posting flyers to invite families. Parents expressed deep appreciation, and the event brought so much joy to the community. The small cost of chocolate and eggs was well worth it for the experience created.

Each egg was worth either 1, 5, or 10 points

Of course there must be chocolate prizes
